Robert Best's "Silkstone" Barbie Fashion Model Collection is considered by many doll collectors to be the pinnacle of Barbie. These dolls were inspired by the aesthetic of the vintage original and have been elevated with elegant fashion using high end textiles and immaculate attention to detail. Their bodies are made of a dense, heavy weight vinyl that is intended to resemble the feel of porcelain. This is the "Lisette" doll, released in 2001.
Entrance making made easy in a full-skirted mint green satin ball gown accented with dashes of black flock and faux diamonds. I do not know if she has ever been removed from the packaging, but she is packed neatly and intact in her box.
All pieces appear to be present. Her clothing is clean but has a small mark on the bottom of her skirt where some friction from the box seems to have rubbed at the material. Her hair is neat and tidy.
The box has some discoloration and a crumple in the top (see pictures). Artificial materials or elastics may be weak or degraded from age and were not tested for their integrity.
