This was the first time a Silkstone doll was offered as the official convention doll. She was designed by acclaimed Barbie designer, Robert Best, and was inspired by the 1960s film Valley of the Dolls. She is wearing an authentic late 1960s-style gown in pink and white, with a pale pink bow at the waist. Her awesome accessories include full-length gloves and high-heeled shoes.This doll is a Platinum Label doll by Mattel, which means no more than 1000 were ever produced. She is made of Mattel's proprietary Silkstone material and is part of the Barbie Fashion Model Collection. This doll has never been removed from the box. Box is in good condition but may have very minor wear from storage.
